ARTIST/OWNER BIOGRAPHY

Growing up with a passion for art, Sterling Hopkins is primarily a self-taught sketch artist and digital photographer. In addition, to land and city-scape digital photography, His signature artistic style has gravitated to sketches with a mixed medium of chalk, pencil, and paint on a black background. More recently, he has expanded into the digital art medium with sketch renditions modeled after his photographed subjects. Hopkins’s work has been exhibited and competed in multiple shows across the U.S. over the last 15 years.

Inspired by a childhood in the inner cities of Detroit and Chicago he expresses a message of beauty we see each day ranging from the inner-city to countrysides. He also gains inspiration from his teen years enjoying the blue grass of Kentucky and followed by 20+ years traveling around the world as member of the United States Air Force. His drive is to continually develop his craft and help open doors for young artists within our inner cities and similar regions around the world to have opportunities to showcase their gifts and talents.
